Project Profile: Johnson Matthey invested in the Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone to set up a 3,000-ton/year precious metal catalyst to recover and refine 16 tons of precious metals. The project has a total investment of 220 million yuan and covers an area of 40 mu (about 26,670 m2). Johnson Matthey is the only company in the world that possesses a full set of precious metal catalysts for production, recycling, activation, and refining. Its precious metal catalysts are widely used in automobile exhaust three-way catalysts, pharmaceuticals, and chemical industries.
